1. Introduction

VAapps ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information Poly Studio - a self-hosted database workbench sold by VAapps - and this website collect, use, and protect. It complements the VAapps-wide policies on vaapps.com.

The short version: Poly Studio runs on your servers. The application itself collects no telemetry and sends nothing to us. The only personal data we ever see is what you give us when you buy a license or contact support.

2. What the application collects

Nothing by default. Poly Studio has no telemetry, analytics, crash reporting, or "call home" features.
License validation is local. License keys are verified offline against a public key embedded in the application. No server contact is required.
Optional AI features send prompts and schema metadata only to the AI endpoint you configure (e.g., your own Ollama server or Ollama Cloud account). We do not operate, proxy, or have access to that endpoint.
Your data. Connection credentials, queries, backups, dashboards, and user accounts are stored locally on your infrastructure, in your application database. We never have access to them.

3. What we collect directly

Purchase information. When you buy a Pro license, payments are collected at ₹2,999/year for customers in India (INR) and $99/year for international customers (USD) through Razorpay (Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd.), our payment gateway. Razorpay collects your name, email, billing address, and payment details on our behalf. We receive your name, email, purchase amount, license term, and transaction reference - never your full card details, which go directly to Razorpay's PCI-DSS-compliant checkout.
Support communications. Emails you send to support@vaapps.com.
Website analytics. This website uses basic, privacy-respecting server-side analytics (aggregate page views, referrer, browser type) that do not use cookies, do not track individuals across sites, and are not shared with advertising networks. No third-party tracking pixels are loaded.

4. How we use it

To deliver and activate your license, provide support and updates you request, meet tax and accounting obligations as required by law, and prevent fraud or license abuse. Where applicable, we process personal data in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023 and applicable rules thereunder.

5. Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. Data is shared only with Razorpay (to process your payment), authorities where required by law, and service providers obligated to confidentiality.

6. Retention

Purchase and license records are retained for license administration and tax compliance. Support correspondence is retained for up to 24 months.

7. Your rights

You may request to review, correct, or delete your personal information by writing to support@vaapps.com. Note that deleting purchase records may affect future license support and renewal discounts.

8. Data security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures. Additionally, the application encrypts stored database credentials at rest (DPAPI on Windows, AES-256-GCM elsewhere) and keeps all sensitive material on your own infrastructure.

9. Children

Poly Studio is a developer tool not directed at individuals under 18.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date reflects the latest revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
